The Shimano DA9100-ULT8000 OSPW gearbox is designed and developed entirely by CeramicSpeed, the oversize wheel system provides maximum optimization of your bike’s transmission. Featuring a 13-tooth upper pulley wheel and a 19-tooth lower pulley wheel to provide absolute optimisation of the rear derailleur. This OSPW X system has a custom molded carbon fiber cage for lightweight and durability. The 4 settings of the tension spring allow an optimal configuration of the transmission based on the driving conditions. OSPW X is specifically designed for road, gravel and cross-country cycling, and is proven on platforms such as the Paris Roubaix, Strada Bianche and CX World Cups.
Fits cassettes up to 36 teeth (range 11-36). This OSPW system reduces friction by 35-40% over the standard pulley configuration. The oversized pulley wheels have 3-5 times longer lifetime than the commonly used standard pulleys on the market.
CeramicSpeed coated products provide the ultimate in performance and longevity gains. The patented coating features several attributes that enhance the longevity of CeramicSpeed bearings. The increased hardness of the strokes, combined with the smoothness of the ceramic speed balls, produces virtually no wear on the bearing. The coating is a metallic layer, which is 75% harder than hardened steel tracks. The coating is applied in a very thin and uniform layer of 3 microns (0.003 mm) over the entire surface of the bearing track. Both the interior and exterior are treated to achieve optimal results.
