Tough design marked with IP44 rating
Popular Dometic products like the CFX3 35 and 75DZ compressor coolers and the PLB 40 battery pack are marked with an IP44 rating. IP stands for Ingress Protection, which considers the extent to which a product is protected against penetration by solid and liquid particles. An IP44 rating verifies that the product has been tested and proved to have effective protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm, such as tools and small wires, as well as against splash water from any angle. In other words, your Dometic CFX3 compressor cooler, and the PLB 40 portable power pack, are splash-proof and therefore fit for the rigors of outdoor use.
Maintain power after it’s gone
The Dometic PLB40 has powerful, integrated Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells, providing an energy supply of 40Ah/512 Wh. Ideal for powered coolers and other 12 V appliances while on adventures, the PLB40 provides a weekend of power or longer for a Dometic CFX on a single charge. The integrated DC-DC charger offers three convenient ways to charge via: the vehicle’s 12 V DC socket, a solar panel or AC home power. The batter’s integrated Battery Management System protects the PLB40 from under-voltage, over-voltage, short circuiting and overheating for optimum charge time, performance and storage. With this power management system, the Dometic PLB40 has a cycle of life up to four times longer than more commonly used lithium ion batteries.
