The Oversized Pulley Wheel System (OSPW) from Ceramicspeed is probably the finest way to optimize performance. The oversized pulley wheels with 15 teeth at the top and a massive 19 teeth at the bottom greatly minimize the movement of the chain links as they pass through the cage, significantly reducing friction and effort. In addition, the service life is significantly extended compared to other commercially available systems.

The RS version marks the beginning of the future for the Danes. The contemporary new look of the bearing cage is more angular and thus adapts to the design trends of bicycles and groupsets. It is still made of high-quality carbon fibres, which have been reinforced with polyamide so that the forces can be better distributed and absorbed. Technically, the new design offers a measurable increase in stiffness and durability, which increases shifting precision and makes it easier to digest possible falls or minor collisions with stones or branches.

The derailleur pulleys are also made of aluminium. These are the absolute high-end solution for all riders who want to get the most out of themselves and their equipment in a race and for whom every watt saved is more important than anything else. Derailleur pulleys, and especially their bearings, have to compensate for a great deal of friction. Depending on the gear ratio, they rotate 4 - 5 times faster than the crank and therefore benefit in particular from a low-friction and durable bearing. The Ceramicspeed SpeedBalls are 15% harder than those of the competition and can absorb considerably more force. They also have an incredibly smooth surface, thereby reducing rolling resistance to a minimum. All these improvements have also increased the service life by a factor of 6.

Maintenance
Ceramicspeed components are high-tech features for your bike. They offer you maximum performance, but also require regular maintenance and care. The oil included in the scope of delivery is used for maintenance and has been specially formulated for these bearings. Lubricants from other manufacturers are not recommended.

Important notes
When traveling, please remember to remove the complete rear derailleur with an Allen key, as very few bicycle transport bags offer sufficient space for the OSPW system.
