The Zipp 404 S is a 50 mm deep carbon wheel for road riders and triathletes who want a real aero upgrade from stock alloy wheels without paying top-tier prices. The hookless rim has a 23 mm internal width and runs 28 to 39 mm tubeless tyres, so it handles fast group rides, sportives and triathlon training on UAE roads.
Each wheel is sold on its own. The front runs a Zipp 76D hub on a 12 x 100 mm thru axle; the rear runs a Zipp 176D hub on a 12 x 142 mm thru axle with a SRAM XDR freehub. Both have 36 points of engagement, stainless steel cartridge bearings, Sapim CX-Sprint spokes and a Center Lock disc interface. Choose the position and decal colour above.

Our 404 S rear wheel comes with a SRAM XDR freehub body, for SRAM 12-speed road cassettes. For a Shimano HG cassette you need a different freehub body, so message us before ordering.

The 404 S is a hookless, tubeless only rim with a 23 mm internal width. It takes 28 to 39 mm tubeless tyres at a maximum of 73 psi (5.0 bar).
Which axle and brake standard does the 404 S use?▼
The front wheel uses a 12 x 100 mm thru axle and the rear a 12 x 142 mm thru axle, both with Center Lock disc rotors. It does not fit rim brake or quick release bikes.
