The FORTY FIVE wheelset is a disc-only, tubeless-ready wheelset that provides excellent levels of aerodynamic performance with a 45mm rim profile. The medium-depth, proprietary rim profile ensures the FORTY FIVE cuts through the wind at most real-world yaw angles while maintaining exceptionally low rolling mass. Because the FORTY FIVE models are disc-only, the rim has not been burdened by the need to accommodate a brake track. Reducing the required material on the outer edges of the wheel helps reduce rotating mass and without the constraints of having a fixed-section rim sidewall, they are even faster than traditional deep-section wheels, as well as being lighter. Optimized for 25-28mm tires, with a 21mm internal rim width and 27mm external width, the flush tire-to-rim interface improves aerodynamic performance, while the wider tubeless tires increase comfort and cornering ability.

The Black Inc FORTY FIVE features a revised hub design with low-friction CeramicSpeed bearings and an updated freehub body mounting system. This advanced design makes the wheels feel like they’ll spin forever, and the instant engagement ensures no loss of momentum during critical moments in a race or training ride. The FORTY FIVE is available with Shimano, XDR and Campagnolo freehubs. Straight-pull rim and disc hub sets work easily with CX-SPRINT and CX-RAY Aero Butted straight-pull spokes. Internal alloy nipples keep the weight down and the wheel spinning reliably.
