• Endura Ltd. was founded in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1992 by ambitious club cyclist (Jim McFarlane) upon his return to Scotland from a 14 month stay in Sydney. While living in Australia, Jim joined a cycling group that competed in triathlon team events. At one of these events his equipment was stolen and he was forced to look for new equipment. After much disappointment with what was on offer, upon returning to Scotland he decided to produce his own cycling clothing, which focused on technical function and durability without compromising on material and construction. And this is still the basic idea on which everything at Endura is built today. The company initially worked with quality textile mills in central Scotland offering cycling clothing. However, it quickly became clear that these textile factories lacked the expertise and equipment to produce high-performance cycling clothing and so in 1993 Endura began producing all of its own clothing. Since this year, Endura’s in-house production of technical cycling clothing has been growing steadily to this day. Throughout its history, the company has won numerous product awards in magazines and various industry awards, including the Eurobike Design Award for clothing in 2007 and 2009.
